Underlying Principle of Two-Eyed Monocular Vision Optical Instrument Explained

The sliding plates / occluders are obstructing binocular vision so the image from the left and right eye can not overlap binocularly. At the same time the monocular image from the left and right eye are place against each other. In this way the binocular vision image overlapping from the left and right eye is minimized or even completely eliminated, diagram 1.

An instrument for splitting a beam of rays and for straightening a beam of rays displacement direction. The beam of rays are split and then brought back together. The beam of rays can be used split symmetrically as well as used split asymmetrically. After splitting the beam of rays the beam is converted into straight image projection and can be used as a useful image projection.
This beamsplitter is creating straight images and therefore very suitable for the use in ophthalmology for the treatment of binocular dysfunctions, to make diagnoses, vision tests and to perform eye measurements.
Because this beamsplitter creates straight images the beamsplitter is also very suitable for the use in augmented reality to create straight video image projections on top of uneven surfaces with video projectors,
