What is the Bimonocular Vision Optical Instrument Ocular Ring for Binoculars

Introduction

The bimonocular vision optical instrument ocular ring is a high precision instrument for treating binocular vision dysfunction complaints when using binoculars. It is an instrument that can be adjusted and create to an accuracy of up to a hundredth of a millimeter (0.01 mm) bimonocular vision, also known as two-eyed monocular vision, which is the technique of placing both visual images next to each other. It is also an instrument that can create and be adjusted to an accuracy of up to a hundredth of a millimeter (0.01 mm) binocular fusing which is the technique of fusing the images of both eyes in and out of each other in order to create personalized binocular fusion (3D stereo).

Both bimonocular vision and binocular fusion are fundamental types of vision images and these images can only be adjusted with this optical instrument while looking through binoculars. In other words, you directly adjust the images that you see through the binoculars at a distance.

The reason for making extra adjustments with this optical instrument is for extra viewing comfort and improvement and for a ± 30% increased monocular field of view compared to a one-eyed monocular.

It is important to understand that the adjustable sliding pieces of the optical instrument responsible for fusing and bimonocular vision will not block your field of view and therefore will not reduce your field of view (nature often functions counter-intuitively and that is also the case here). In fact, even the opposite is true because the instrument's bimonocular vision setting will widen your monocular field of view by ± 30% compared to a monocular with one eye.

The instrument is designed as an accessory to install on the binocular eyecups, in such a way so that you can easily install the optical instrument on different binoculars and can therefore remove the instrument from a particular type of binoculars at any time and place it onto other binoculars. The optical instrument ocular ring fits most binocular eyecups, and exact dimensions on which diameter binocular eyecups the instrument fits can be found in the product description in the webshop where the ocular ring instrument is for sale.

After reading this page for binoculars you will probably know enough about the capabilities of the optical instrument, but if you still want to know more you should visite the page on this website called Eye Care, which is the ophthalmology page of the optical instrument. There you will find more information such as how the development of this optical instrument came about.

Why you want to use the bimonocular vision optical instrument with your binoculars..

Binocular fusing - fusion settings + bimonocular setting

The optical instrument can eliminate or alleviate the following negative symptoms during binocular use: fusion disorders,

dizziness, motion sickness, vertigo / visual motion sensitivity, nausea, eye pain,  pressure on the eyes, tired eyes, facial pain, headaches, lightheadedness, neck/shoulder/back pain, binocular diplopia-double vision. If you recognize one or more of these symptoms to a greater or lesser extent during binocular use, then this optical instrument is for you.

The bimonocular vision and binocular fusing technique that this optical instrument forms is fundamental vision. It might be simple technique but that is precisely why the effectiveness of the instrument is recognized by the orthoptist. We recommend that every binocular user try this optical instrument with their binoculars since, even if you hardly recognize any of the negative symptoms mentioned above during binocular use, you will still experience some improvement while using this optical instrument with your binoculars.

Binocular fusing - fusion settings

By using the binocular fusing settings of the optical instrument you are able to balance out the colors of the subject you are viewing, resulting in better / purer colors. With the fusion setting of the instrument you will also balance out the sharpness of the subject that you see through your binoculars, resulting in clearer vision.

Binocular fusing - fusiosettings

This instrument works extremely well as an image stabilizer to provide extra stabilization to image stabilized binoculars, as well as adding extra stabilization to regular binoculars that have not yet been stabilized. Since balancing binocular fusion is so fundamental to good vision, you will find that this instrument makes the image much more stable than you are used to. The main reason that the image you see through your binoculars becomes more stable is because of better image processing between the eyes and the brain.

Bimonocular vision setting

Bimonocular vision is simply being able to see monocularly with full use of both eyes.

Some people are in favor of a monocular because they experience that the image is more beautiful monocularly than binocularly. If you feel this way, then you can install this instrument on stereo binoculars with two viewing tubes which so that you have the binoculars completely converted to a two-eyed monocular. The result is a 30% wider monocular field of view compared to an old fashioned one-eyed tube monocular.

Bimonocular vision can be made symmetrical

The vision images from both eyes are now fusing in and out of each other in every possible way

Step 3) Binocular fusion is created in every possible way

The settings shown in the illustration

apply to both ocular rings

- Bimonocular vision has one setting.

- Using all the other settings (between bimonocular vision and the initial setting) creates binocular 3D fusion, which means you are fusing.
