We Specialize in
Bimonocular Vision
&
Binocular Fusion by Fusing
Two-eyed monocular vision, also called bimonocular vision in ophthalmology, is a breakthrough discovery in optics. It is not only a new image perspective format, but alongside monocular vision and binocular vision is third in a row of isolated image perspective formats - a concept which has been missing from the basic optics list until now. Our ambition is to introduce this new way of bimonocular (two-eyed monocular) seeing to help relieve different types of binocular vision dysfunction complaints in patients, and to introduce bimonocular vision image projections (a ‘Monoculargram’) with video projectors for the purpose of immersive Augmented Reality. We believe that being able to see in a monocular way with both eyes at the same time is more comfortable, and demonstrates a great advantage and improvement over having to see in a monocular way with only one eye. Although the basic principle of two-eyed (bi) monocular vision and such an optical instrument is fully developed and can no longer be changed, the optical team is continuously working on improvements to make the bimonocular vision optical instrument more comfortable for the user. All aspects of the bimonocular vision optical instrument from the instrument itself to the bimonocular visual images that can be seen through it are a copyright matter and therefore copyright protected and officially registered and deposited with the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property. Our mission is to introduce the bimonocular vision optical instrument to the market in an easily accessible way for everyone.

In the years following the development of bimonocular vision and the bimonocular vision optical instrument, additional research has been done in-house by John Post into what else the bimonocular vision optical instrument can do. This has led to the ability to perform fusing and to the creation of binocular fusion.

Bimonocular (two-eyed monocular) vision optical instruments and bimonocular (two-eyed monocular) vision images was created, discovered and copyright registered by John Post in the year 2017.
In the years that followed, Post created fusing and binocular fusion which can be done with the same instrument.

John Post was born on June 13, 1980 in Messancy Belgium and is the father of a beautiful son. His mother is Belgian and father's side is a mix of Dutch, French and Luxembourgish.
Post’s passion is Arts and Natural Basic Science. At first, the bimonocular vision optical instrument and bimonocular vision were spontaneous creations, thanks to John Post's artistic side. In the first stages of creating the instrument, he did not realize that he was seeing (two-eyed) bimonocular vision images. Afterwards, Post became very curious and wanted to understand how nature really works and what does images where, so he went out to investigate and better understand what he was seeing.
After three years of research and testing with various ophthalmic tools like stereotests and image projections, and confirmations by various ophthalmic specialists like Belgian Orthoptist D.H. and Eye Doctor Strabologist S.v.L., John was arrived at the conclusion that what he was seeing was (two-eyed) bimonocular vision or monocular vision which can be viewed with both eyes at the same time. Making two-eyed monocular vision visible with video image projectors was quite spectacular and immersive and therefore was named by John Post as a Monoculargram.
John Post was awarded as a top 10 finalist by the Neural Correlate Society in 2017 in the vision science contest category, Best Illusion of the Year, led by two Harvard Medical School professors. The Neural Correlate Society is a nonprofit organization that promotes scientific research into the neural correlates of perception and cognition’.

René Knecht is the creator of the term bi-monocular which was created as an ophthalmic synonym for the term two-eyed monocular. René also introduced the term bi-monocular in the ophthalmic community. Ultimately, John Post created the term bimonocular vision and introduced this term further in the ophthalmic community because ultimately one term had to be determined.
